If it originates from an EU Member State, European regulations significantly simplify this recognition; if it comes from a third country with no applicable agreement, the general channel is the exequatur under Law 29/2015, which requires a lawyer and a court agent. In almost all cases, the resolution and its accompanying documents (finality, certificates, notifications and apostille) must be submitted translated into Spanish, and in practice, a sworn translation is required or recommended.

At Translinguo Global, a translation agency, we handle the translation of foreign judgments, not the recognition process itself, which is the responsibility of the lawyer and the court agent.
